The second the door to his room shuts behind them, Tahno's kissing Jemma, his hand tightening around her wrist. He lifts her hand above her head, gripping her chin gently and forcing her to look at him before pushing her back against the door. His lips are warm and pliant and hungry; he nibbles and sucks on her lower lip before covering her mouth with his.

"I would claim you have an ulterior motive but you've already managed to get me into bed, so..." She knows she isn't at her best - today has involved a lot of scientific scrambling and physical sprinting and entirely more stress than she thinks is absolutely necessary for these sorts of missions, but...

Well.

It's nice to hear, anyway.

"How about you prove it?"

"Oh, I'll prove it," Tahno growls, nibbling his way down to her nipple. He swirls his tongue around the furled bud, tracing his hands down her ribs and over her other breast. He bites gently and suckles harder.

.... she will adamantly deny that was a whimper that answered his growl, she will, but damn if that isn't the hottest thing.

Unless his mouth on her breast is, that's pretty amazing. One hand cards into his hair to keep him right there, right there please, while she gropes his ass with the other.

Tahno kicks his pants off and straddles her hips, staying right where she wants him at her chest. He nips and sucks and licks her nipple, pinching the other one with his thumb and forefinger. It's with a slow, leisurely movement that he takes her, driving her to the point where she can see stars.

There comes a point that Jemma is pretty sure, by accepted laws of physics, that she should actually be on fire. With him pinning her down she can hardly go far, the lack of friction driving her further towards incoherency.

When they've finished, Tahno collapses onto his elbows around her, nuzzling her neck. "How're ya doin'?" he asks quietly, nibbling on her ear.

"Perfect." She drawls, patting his rear (what? What? It's awesome and it's right there, of course she's going to have her hands on it, don't be daft). "I'm having a marvelous time. How about yourself?"

Tahno bites her lip, and then kisses her, soft and sweet. "Marvelous is a good way to put it," he drawls, threading his fingers into her hair. "How about a shower?"

"That is an excellent idea. You have truly excellent ideas." She agrees, stretching her toes and enjoying the sense of well-being soaked deep into her bones.

"Yup," Tahno says, with no false modesty to be found. "You know it."

He rolls off of her and the bed and offers his hand.

She takes it, feeling decidedly rumpled in glorious ways.

"So does one prefer showers or baths when water obeys your every whim?"

"Depends on what I'm in the mood for, honestly," Tahno drawls, scooping her up in his arms again. He carries her to his sumptuous bathroom and pauses in front of the wall-length mirror. "What're ya in the mood for?"

"Well.... in the field, I probably won't have the luxury of a bathtub for quite a long while." She muses, though the idea of cool tile and hot water (and a hot water bender) is also terribly alluring.

"Bathtub it is," Tahno drawls, setting her on her feet near the black, clawfoot tub. He turns on the faucet to fill the tub with steaming water, unable to resist playing with some of it--specifically calling it up to swirl around his fingers. "What're ya doin' in the field?"

Jemma tries to figure out what might be classified and what fits her persona and what the hell Hill would think of any of this and... well. She supposes she'll just have to wing it.

"Oh, um... developing new dendrotoxins." She nods, leaving out the dozens of failed attempts littering the lab at the moment.

"Bad news fer yer enemies," Tahno drawls, chuckling. He freezes the water he's playing with into a globe, and plucks away at it with his fingers to make petals of a panda lily. "But you'll rule the world yet."

Tahno turns off the faucet and motions for her to get into the tub.

"Oh, I don't really want to rule the world. Someone else can do that while I just get to do science all day long."

Actually, yes. She has the perfect job, and she loves it.

And yes. She can confirm that sinking into a perfectly warm tub is pretty much heaven.

Tahno sets the ice flower floating--and melting--in the hot water. He climbs into the tub with her, facing her such that her feet are situated around his chest. He takes one of them and starts stroking the pads.

"Then yer pretty content with yer life right now, huh? That's good," he drawls. "It's always nice seein' ya happy."

"It's not a bad life, really. How about you - wasn't there a big tournament thing coming up?" She asks, sliding down a little to rest her head on the edge of the tub and just... bask.

Yeeeah, this is lovely.

"Yeah, it's still comin'," Tahno drawls, rubbing along her arch with his thumbs. He waves one hand in the water and sets it to vibrating, intending to massage her that way as well. "There are the pre-qualifiers to get through first, but I've only got a couple of those now, and I ain't worried about 'em. I should take you to one."

Jemma resolutely does not squeak happily at the idea of visiting a whole different world.

Nope.

(She does, she totally does, but she'll deny it with her last breath.)

"That could be very interesting." She notes, with a stab at professionalism.

Tahno snorts. "Admit it, that just tickles ya pink," he drawls, tickling her foot. He smirks lopsided at her, shaking his head slowly. "Gosh, that's cute."

"It is showing proper intellectual rigor who wouldn't be intrigued by the idea of visiting a whole different world who knows if the physics even work the same it would be a scholastic imperative to follow up on I don't know what you're talking about." She protests voluably, blushing all the while.

...

And tragically, water does nothing to hide blushing.

Tahno chuckles deeply, drawing his tongue across his bottom lip. "Oh, no, now yer even cuter," he rumbles, kissing her ankle. "What am I gonna do with ya?"

Her gaze fixates on the path of his tongue, and she blinks, distracted.

"What? No, not cuter, professional, it is my professional opinion that travel to other worlds would be highly educational."
